Setting Up Your Trezor Wallet
1. Unbox Your Trezor Device:
Carefully unbox your Trezor hardware wallet. Inside, you should find the Trezor device, a USB cable, a recovery seed card, and instructions.
2. Connect Your Trezor Device:
Use the provided USB cable to connect your Trezor device to your computer.
3. Visit the Trezor Website:
Open your web browser and go to the official Trezor website.
4. Download and Install Trezor Bridge:
To ensure proper communication between your Trezor device and your computer, download and install Trezor Bridge from the Trezor website.
5. Open Trezor Wallet:
After installing Trezor Bridge, go back to the Trezor website and open the Trezor Wallet interface.
Initial Device Setup
1. Initialize Your Trezor Device:
Follow the on-screen instructions to initialize your Trezor device. This includes setting up a PIN code directly on your device.
2. Write Down Your Recovery Seed:
Your Trezor device will generate a 24-word recovery seed. Write down each word in the exact order on the provided recovery seed card. This recovery seed is crucial for recovering your wallet if the device is lost or damaged. Keep it safe and never share it with anyone.
3. Confirm Your Recovery Seed:
The Trezor Wallet interface will prompt you to confirm your recovery seed by selecting the correct words in order using your Trezor device. This ensures you have accurately recorded your recovery seed.
